Martel and several members of his family are part of a soccer team sponsored by Northgate. They’ve managed to win the tournament four times while sporting the Northgate uniforms.

“[Northgate has] different events. We have basketball, softball, football, and the most important one to us and my family — and to a lot, I think — is the soccer tournament,” he said. “When it comes to soccer, I think we’re very competitive all may family, like my brother, my uncle, my dad. For the last five years, we have one the tournament four times.”
